I.A.B.S.O.R.I.W (International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental, and Reinforcing Iron Workers) Local 495 was chartered in April of 1936 as a mixed local. Within the industry of ironwork, we currently represent approximately 230 members throughout the state of New Mexico.

Our goals are to provide a skilled and safe workforce, to successfully complete every job, and to promote a family of union members. More than anything, our members are the backbone of Local 495 and we believe in fighting for prosperous opportunities, union representation, and health and welfare for our members and workers across New Mexico.

Our trade entails a lifelong career of travel, experience, and satisfaction. Our jobs include bridges, schools, shopping centers, high-rise buildings, parking structures, powerplants and so much more. This is a tremendous line of work where men and women are able to excel while receiving the benefits the deserve.
